LONDON - Day 6 - Ambersphere, Westfield & Jamie Oliver

After our second night in High Wycombe, we had breakfast (bagels and yummie home made bread) at Simone's house and after that it was off to London again! We stopped by at Glyn's work (www.ambersphere.co.uk) and he showed us around, and for Glyn that day was a bit like Christmas (in September):

Nelson & Clay Paky Sharpys signed by Durham Marenghi,
Glyn with his new MacBook Air
Thank you Glyn!

And after our visit to Ambersphere, Simone dropped us off at the Westfield Mall at White City/Shephard Bush. This mall is HUGE and we spend all afternoon looking around in shops. Before the mall closed, we had made reservations at Jamie Oliver's restaurant Jamie's Italian where we had a lovely dinner:

a selection of what we ordered: famous polenta chips, italian nacho's,  crispy stuffed risotto balls, Jools' favourite sicilian tuna fusilli, Jamie's favourite turkey milanese, warm brownie and icecream
NOW WHO SAYS ENGLISH FOOD ISN'T TASTEFUL????

And after a long day there was still enough energy left to put a LEGO Big Ben together!

LONDON - Day 5 - High Wycombe Hockey Match

Glyn picked us up in Legoland yesterday and drove us to our hotel in High Wycombe. After we got freshed up a bit, we met again with the rest of the family for dinner at Nando downtown Wycombe. Yummie!!

On Saturday Nelson was not feeling well, so he sadly enough had to stay at the hotel with his dad. Naomi and I were picked up by Simone to go to West Wycombe. An hour later I left again with G. and W. for Maidenhead where W. had to play a hockey match. And Naomi & K. had a good time at the West Wycombe Fete where they had a falconry display (with a 24 year old owl).

WOD in action!

LONDON - Day 2 - Harry Potter Studio Tour (Watford)

To everybody thinking about doing the Harry Potter Studio Tour: DO IT!!!! And plan enough time as there is sooooo much detail to see, just a few hours is NOT ENOUGH! I'll go back a second time, some day.....

We did a couch tour leaving fron Victoria Station, just a few minutes walk from our hotel. A Harry Potter double decker took us to the studio's near Watford, about an hour drive from Victoria Station. You then start your tour in a group, welcomed by a staff member thet guides you into the Hogwarts dining hall, and after that you are free to do the rest of the tour in your own pace.
