Amsterdam. Again. Gassan Diamonds & Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder
Gassan Diamonds, Nieuwe Uilenburgstraat 173-175, Amsterdam
Gassan Diamonds is located in a former steam-driven diamond factory in the center of Amsterdam. You can watch diamond cutters at work while a guide tells you all about diamond processing.
Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder, Oudezijds Voorburgwal 40, Amsterdam
Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder (Our Lord in the Attick) is a 17th century canal house, house church and museum in the city centre of Amsterdam. The Catholic Church was built on the top three floors of a canal house during the 1660s. It is an important example of a "schuilkerk" (clandestine church) in which Catholics and other religious dissenters from the seventeeth century Dutch Reformed Church, unable to worship in public, held services. Since 1888, the church is open as a museum.
