RAPSody in Yellow

This time of the year the fields around Bern turn yellow. It is the turnip flower in full blossom. Here in Switzerland it is called "raps", or in dutch it is "koolzaad". Beautiful yellow color, I just wish I could have taken pictures with blue skies. Well, not this weekend, but I might be lucky in a few days. Should be sunny on Tuesday. But maybe the farmers think Tuesday is a good day for harvest.....

Garage Sale

Having a Garage Sale is not as common in Wabern as it is in the USA, but Saturday May 4th was the 3rd anual organized Quartier Flomarkt & Garage Sale in our neighbourhood. Weather wasn't as nice as we had hoped it would be, but we did sell quite an amount of smaller items. Just wish we could do this more often.......
