Day 7 - Dubrovnik, Croatia

In Dubrovnik we were taught a lesson in "how to park your 293 meter cruiseship backwards into an available parkinglot in the harbour". Respect! In the harbour the ship made a 140° turn, then moved backwards and sidewards into its parking position. I was impressed.....

The other surprise was that we were parking right next to the world's third largest motor yacht (155 meter), the Al Said, owned by the Sultan of Oman. It was accompanied by it's supportship, the Fulk Al-Salamah (136 meter). No sign of the Sultan though, but the crew was busy scrubbing the helicopter deck.......

We took a shuttle bus into the old town of Dubrovnik, a 10 minute ride from our ship. Dubrovnik is beautiful and so clean, it is hard to imagine that only 20 years ago there was a war going on

Pictures under construction!!!! Stay tuned!
